This Colorado log cabin, which was featured in the December/January 2016 issue, caught my attention for the unexpected use of cherry colors and design elements. The designer Thom Filicia created a comfortable vacation home within this cabin that feels younger, cleaner, and crisper than the usual traditional log cabin. 

Thom Filicia brings a fresh perspective to what you would expect in a classic log cabin in Vail, Colorado. He created an easy going vibe with lots of colorful elements and exotic finds to make a comfortable weekend get-away for a family from Boulder, CO.
